Ouch they are pricey. I like the other "statue" ornaments better. My plan is to start collecting them AFTER Christmas.

I going to watch this bid and see if they go for that much. It's not a ornament that you would to put on your tree with a three year old.LOL

I remember when they sold these. I almost bought them. Forget how much they cost. This is the first time I've ever seen them on Ebay.

Hubby is pleased to report I am NOT buying these.

I remember when they sold those too! They're sort of a Christopher Radko style, aren't they? Personally, I prefer the "statuette"-style ornaments that Hallmark had. I don't think these ones do the girls' facial features justice!

Coincidentally, I just received some holiday catalogs that I bought from ebay, including the one from 1999. The ornaments were originally sold for $45 each!

Oh I know! Tell me about it. There are 9 kids in my family and my mom and dad only let them us homemade ornaments on the tree when I was kid.

To this day, that's basically still the rule . . .the youngest is 8 right now.

These are beautiful, if I had unlimited funds I would buy them. Personally, if I want a retired item and it is in good to mint condition, I feel good if I pay within $5-$10 of catalogue price.

Erin, they are similar to Radko ornaments in that they are glass-blown, but they are not as nice. I don't think the detail is as great. However, I did still have to have them since my mom collects Radkos.

My grandmother bought me the Kirsten one and my sister the Molly one when they first came out. We also have the Molly and Kirsten winter statuesque ornaments.

I have one of those! It's Molly.
Edited: Just checked a Holiday 1999 Catalogue when they first came out, they were $45.
